A KEY Encounter!

Power To Cope with A KEY Encounter!

Eugene Hamlin converses with Juanita about the ministry in Key West that attracts persons from all over the world…with birds that not only are beautiful– but sometimes have performed a substitute procedure for plastic surgery! Gene said his life has been changed over the past dozen + years, realizing how very real God is in answering prayer for this non-profit tourist attraction. He, in turn, doesn’t hesitate to pray with anyone and everyone whenever possible. Special stories and insights will be enjoyed listening to their experiences in a nature theater and planetarium — first hand and up close. We hope you’ll enjoy this one in particular, with some amazing answers to prayer!

Moments From Death!

Power To Cope Moments From Death!

Larry Young’s story is a gripping one from a professional man whose own fingers were used by God to save his life. Only God has carried him through the experiences of living literally a breath away from death as his tongue has been removed bit by bit. Finally, to save his life,  half away, with sections of his wrist used to replace what was missing.  For a man who knew what it was like to be in a submarine during Viet Nam–with walls closing in– to having the artery in his mouth burst and blood fill his throat, is surely an account of power to cope that steadied him and his wife through it all. Don’t miss this one!

Mission Work in India

Power to Cope with Mission Work in India

Chuck Pifer is a man who has many skills—a man who can make machines work, and who is tireless when given a task. Those who work for him learned to work hard as well. He could not speak the language of the people–but they understood his language of love. God had taught him that victory is possible over every enemy. He lives it and teaches it as he prays for others! Chuck has become a businessman “rep” for His Lord Jesus Christ. Here is the story of a man who didn’t fit into India’s caste system — and it has worked out OK at all levels!

Too Much Confidence

Power To Cope With Too Much Confidence

This is the story of Mike, the New York State Patrolman who became a homicide detective during the last 22 years of his career with the police. This man loved his job—and his memories of the “family” the police all were to one another (keeping each other’s back, if you will) brings a sense of their affection and camaraderie that was unforgettable. Mike found he was able to be “hard” in the face of some of the most horrific death situations—but it was “hard” on his family as well. The man had little use for religious “acting.” (He knew the double lives many so-called clergy kept.) But the day came that his praying wife longed to see. Her words…that they would not always be together… were the key that awakened him to investigate. He found truth, God’s truth, to be irresistible. It changed his hardness against God into deep repentance for having waited so long to let God and His word become his confidence! You’ll love this one!

Power To Cope Searching For A Real Family

Dan’s story touches your own bewildered heart, as you realize there ARE children raised in cars, with food thrown to them as though they are animals, and punishments including being kept in bed for months at a time–with no protection from those who are called their parents. Longing changed to growing up way too fast with determination to be different and live above his past. Between army and a girl friend’s Christian family who gave him respect–plus a very wise pastor–Dan was introduced to life with a real family–like a love gift from God’s heart. His prayer at the end gives reason for his sharing. Do listen!

Power To Cope Since Viet Nam Part 1

Power To Cope Since Viet Nam

Stuart Griffin headed to military service after high school, certain he’d have more control over what he would accomplish in his life. Somehow it didn’t work out as he planned. Drug usage and alcohol, always plentiful both in and out of the service somehow turned his life upside down. Getting back to the States after the war, his search for answers led him to Europe and a cave where others were on a mission to find out about god from a youthful guru. His search was serious, but somehow God Himself got through to him with very clear instructions that he was on the wrong path in his search. Years later, with a family, again God spoke–warning him. In time he accepted the warning. . . .Though his life has included some tough losses, Stuart  found deliverance, found a path to peace that has lasted…and announced on Power To Cope the upcoming release of his first book this Fall. . . There wasn’t time to hear of God’s more recent leadings and miracles in Stuart’s life and walk with God. There will be a Part 2  in the days ahead.

Part 2 is here:  http://radio.powertocope.org/power-to-cope-since-viet-nam-part-2/

Needing Direction and Protection

Power to Cope Needing Direction and Protection

Veteran Pastor and Missionary Glen Hill shares stories of specific direction from God—via Bible passages and impressions— plus awesome moments of protection . There was a promise early on in Glen’s walk with God that he felt was a message from God to him (in Matthew 10: 19) after he’d asked God if he should accept an invitation to speak “up front” for Him. Glen understood that he didn’t need to be worried about speaking publicly, that God would give him just the answers needed. Now, decades later, THAT was tested on this program as Glen was repeatedly challenged to explain to the listeners of Power To Cope some “Why’s” about God’s dealing with humanity. He stood the test well, and listeners afterwards told how they were blessed hearing his answers to questions some have had about some of the tragedies of life that God has permitted. You’ll be blessed hearing this one… His answers may help you to trust God as he does.

Power to Cope with Economic Disaster

Power to Cope with Economic Disaster

A timely personal testimony from someone (Martha) who moved from affluence into near bankruptcy while investing an inheritance in trying to bless others. When reality sank in that money at times is simply a test for the obedient child of God, it changed the picture from frustration to peace while God still lead the way.
