A World Filled with Dissonance (violinist Jaime Jorge)
Power To Cope in a World Filled with Dissonance
(Violinist Jaime Jorge) This is the story of a child prodigy carefully guided by his musician mom into a world filled with the beautiful strains of his own violin—as he practiced hours upon hours each day. But he wanted to be a physician! Then a chance participation in a talent contest at the University brought him to a life-changing decision. But other physical and emotional challenges were ahead. He found himself having to get through each one—while performing before the public! The enormity of the stress-causing dissonance in his own life somehow pales before the powerful insights Jaime shares in his discovery of God’s perspective on his life and talents. You’ll be blessed to hear him speak, and you’ll be captured by his music. . . and you’ll say with the many thousands he has blessed, “To God be the glory!” (go to his website to hear more. What a powerful interwiev. I met Jaime 1993-4, when he played as a guest in our little church in Riverside, CA. where Stephen Tucker was choir director and my girls and I sung. His gentle spirit radiated in each heart after the service. Later we saw him at Paul and Vicki Tucker’s home whose neighbors we were. Soon after my daughter Dijana died, my mom left, Iwas diagnosed with SLE, and I got divorced. Jaime’s music got me through some hard moments. I have left a message on his FB account, but since it is run by staff, I don’t think he will read it. Please let him know, anybody, that I am involved with music therapy organization ChordsForChange.org, which helps victims of violence and homelessness, where he might read excerpt of my book Hostage of a Fifteen-Year Silence.I need to get in touch with him personally because I will mention him in a book (It’s a memoir) and what his music did for me. He needs to click on Get Involved,Featured Supporters and my picture. God bless you all. Sincerely, Lidija Alvarez
